I've used ivory soap successfully, and the clothes cam eout so soft with no
softner added! This was a miracle considerring we were using well water.
Here I can get the Ivory 12 bars for under $4, one bar will last a fair
amount of time too. Just a thought.
There is also a Sunlight laundry bar out there that is good too.
Just some thoughts.

Budget101.com : Re: Where do I find Fels Naptha soap in East Texas?
Well, after posting my previous message my Mom called me (she shops
at the same places I do) all excited b/c she found the Fels Naptha -
at Randalls!!! Apparently they were just out of stock the time I was
there. She said it was on the bottom shelf in the laundry aisle.
Maybe your local Randalls has it too. (Ours had the washing soda on
the TOP shelf of the laundry asile!)
Good luck!!
Aine
In East Tx too!
