    Default Bisquick Mix Substitute

    I just found bugs in the Bisquick Mix I bought about <yiiiiikes, maybe 2 months
    ago -- ok, my kitchen is hot>
    I didn't get mad; I just went on line and got this and thought I'd share it
    with all of you.

    Bisquick Mix Substitute

    Archived At : (actually, they have several

    10 cups all-purpose flour
    1 1/2 tbsp. salt
    3/8 cup baking powder
    1/4 cup sugar
    1 tsp. Cream of Tartar
    1 pound shortening
    1 1/4 cups powdered milk

    Mix all ingredients and store in an airtight container. This will last
    approximately a month. This recipe can be cut
    in half. Use as you would normally use bisquick.

    Hi Sadiqa and list members. I always keep a bay leaf in
    anything with flour and you can go 12 months or more
    without bugs. In fact, some of Christmas presents were
    the brownie mix in a canning jar and I put a bay leaf
    on the top of the mixture with a note to throw out the
    bay leaf. Blessings, Pat
