Keep in mind the enzymes in your laundry detergent is ecologically not a good
thing. Those enzymes are also fertilizer;s and cause over growth of any green
plant matter in our water ways. It is a natural process for lakes and streams
to "die" of over growth, but these speed the process.

Enzymes ARE, admittedly, good for any protein based stains, particularly animal
stains of all kinds - but you are better off both in terms of cost and the
condition of our planet to SPOT TREAT when needed. Also - oxygen bleach is
good for these same kinds of stains for the most part and does not have the
same damaging effect.
