CopyKat Recipe
Ingredients
make sauce and refrigerate until needed
1/2 c cornstarch
1/4 c water
1 1/2 tsp minced fresh garlic
1 1/2 tsp minced fresh ginger
3/4 c sugar
1/2 c soy sauce
1/4 c white vinigar
1/4 c sherry
1 can condensed chicken broth
preperation
put everything into a quart jar with a lid and shake it up, then put it in the fridge. Just shake it up again when you are ready to use it.
meat
3 lbs. boneless, skinless chicken, cut into chunks
1/4 c soy sauce
1 egg, beaten
1 c cornstarch
2 c sliced green onions
8 small dried hot peppers, seeds removed.
mix chicken, soy sauce, and pepper. Stir in egg. Add cornstarch and mix until chicken pieces are coated. (It will look awful at this point.) Deep fry 7 or 8 pieces at a time in 350 degree oil until chicken pieces are crispy. Drain on paper towels. Repeat until all chuncks are fried.
Place a small amount of oil (1 T) in wok and heat to 400 degrees. Add onions and peppers and stir fry about 30 seconds. Stir or shake sauce mixture and add to wok. Cook until it thickens, add chicken to sauce in work and cook until hot and bubbly. Serve with fried or steamed rice.
THIS DOES NOT REHEAT WELL, SO EAT IN ONE SITTING

can;t remember where I got this one from
The secret to thickening this dressing is to use dry pectin, a natural ingredient often used to thicken jams and jellies. Pectin can be found in most stores in the aisle with baking and cooking supplies or near the canning items.
1/2 c white vinegar
1/3 c water
1/3 c vegetable oil
1/4 c corn syrup
2 1/2 T grated romano cheese
2 T dry pectin
2 T beaten egg
1 1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp minced garlic
1/4 tsp dried parsley flakes
pinch of dried oregano
pinch of crushed red pepper flakes
combine all of the ingredients with a mixer on medium speed or a blender on low speed for 30 seconds. Chill at least one hour, Serve over mixed greens or use as a marinade.
makes 1 1/2 cup

not sure where recipe came from and have not yet tried, but we love frosties and this sounded good.
3/4 c milk
1/4 c chocolate-drink powder (hershey or nestle)
4 c vanilla ice cream
combine all ingredients in a blender on medium speed until creamy. Stir if necessary, if too thin, freeze for a short time to thicken it up
makes 2 drinks
