This Valentine's Day was the best that I have ever had. It did not involve a restaurant, an expensive gift, or a romantic outing.
I spent the day at home cooking and cleaning. When Darren came home, he brought me a red teddy bear with a heart. I cooked fried chicken with chicken and rice. I made chocolate chip cookies for dessert.
I have been writing on some of my homeschooling groups about my son's desiret to learn how to cook, and sharing our adventures. One of my online homeschooling buddies sent me several cookbooks plus some homemade pear chutney!

My 13 year old son has started cooking dinner. He has been making things for himself and doing lunch for people occasionally, but nothing big. This is his first dinner. I am taking other people's advice to get the heck out of the kitchen, and keep my nose outta there! but...IT's SOOOO HARD!!!
