Chicken Tenders ~ Creamy Chicken and Okra over Noodles
Chicken Tenders
Prepare tenders in your favorite recipe and 'try' to save about 8 large pieces if you can! LOL! if you don't think that's possible, prepare 8 extra and hide 'em
Creamy Chicken and Okra over Noodles
2 tbs olive oil
10-oz pkg frozen, cut okra -- thawed
1 clove garlic, minced
8 cooked chicken tenders, cut into 1/2-inch chunks
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 16-oz pkg noodles, cooked
salt and pepper to taste
In a large skillet, heat oil. Add okra and garlic and saute over medium heat just until the okra starts to brown. Add chicken and heat thoroughly, stirring frequently, about 5 minutes. Stir in soup, reduce heat and simmer about 5 minutes. Serve over noodles. Add salt and pepper as desired.
If your family doesn't like okra, get 'em to try it anyway...they might like it fixed this way.Last edited by mos; 09-28-2008 at 06:37 AM.

I grew up in the south and love okra! The family not so much, it will be fun to see if they will like it fixed this way. Thanks

many people don't like okra because they say it's slimy! LOL! BUT, if you fix it in a cream sauce -- like canned soup or homemade -- it's 'held' in check. my Daddy used to get all the kids that would stick around for supper to eat their veggies (we all ate our veggies growing up -- no such thing as don't like it allowed;->) by putting ranch dressing or cream sauce on 'em. often they would ask for seconds! LOL!
