White Chocolate Cookies Mix In A Mug
White Chocolate Cookies Mix
A Wonderful Gift In A Mug
This mix for white chocolate cookies is one of my favorite homemade food gifts because the cookies are delicious and they contain dried fruit of your choice. Another reason I like this gift in a mug is because the mug does not have to be oven proof as the cookies are baked on a cookie sheet.
After you have assembled the ingredients and placed them in the mug, place the mug in a clear plastic bag, attach a gift tag, and include the preparation instructions (see below).
If you choose the bake the cookies instead of giving the mix as a gift, you can place the baked cookies in a small basket lined with decorative paper napkins or a tea towel. Or, place them in a gift box or a tin container.
1/4 cup white chocolate chips
1/4 cup dried fruit (cranberries, cherries, or blueberries)
1/3 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
pinch of salt
Combine all ingredients in a bowl. Spoon into small food storage bag and seal. Place the bag in a mug.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Attach the following preparation instructions:
White Chocolate Cookies Mix
1/2 stick butter (2 ounces), softened (not melted)
1 egg
1/4 teaspoon vanilla
1 Cookie Mix
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Beat butter in bowl with electric mixer until creamy. Add egg and vanilla; beat until well blended.
Add cookie mix and beat until blended. Drop dough by tablespoons on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown, cool on cookie sheet for 1 minute, and remove to wire rack to cool completely.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
SUBSTITUTIONS:
Use dark chocolate chips instead of white chocolate chips. Or, your favorite nuts or raisins for the dried fruit.

rtebalt,
These sound good. I'll have to make these first and probably eat them before they have a chance to become a gift.
