Saddle Soap Recipe

3 1/2 cups water
1/4 cup neat's-foot oil
3/4 cup Ivory Soap, Grated
1/2 cup beeswax or paraffin, grated

Bring the water to a boil, then reduce heat, adding ivory soap until melted. Add grated wax, once melted, remove from heat and add oil. Stir until thick, and pour into widemouth glass mason jar, or other comparable container.

To use, apply with a damp cloth over leather surface. Buff dry.

NOTE: Neat's-foot oil may darken some leathers, and items do not seem to take a polish very well after this oil has been applied.
