Homemade Laundry soap and softner warning

Hi all, I wonted to share with you all that my 3and7 y/o girls both
were in ICU for 5 days, they both had pylonephritis -at the same time-
The drs. said it was from making and using my own laundry soap.
I used (grated)bar soap, 1 cup borax, and 1 cup liquid detergent and
water. Softner I used 6 cups white vinegar, 6 cups baking soda,1 cup
liquid softner, 12 cup water.

I am sorry that you have had this happen. I don't know how much water you
are using for the soap mixture BUT you are using toooooooooo much
ingredients in your softner. For my softner I use hair conditioner 2T in 8
oz of water in a spray bottle. I use 3-4 squirts / load in the dryer and it
has lasted for a year and 3/4 bottle to go.

2 questions: 1. Do you spray the softener into the dryer? On to a
cloth? 2. did the DR say WHY using the homemade detergent would cause
an infection??? maybe he didn't think the clothes were getting clean?

How did making your own laundry cause your children to have a kidney infection? No disrespect intended just curious. My daughter had a kidney infection when she was 4 and spent several days in the hospital but I don?t make my own detergent. They never really gave us a cause.

Ok, Please correct me if I am wrong-- I am no doctor, but something
sounds totally amiss here to me. I looked up this "pylonephritis" and
found that it is a BACTERIAL infection (like in the kidneys?). I would
want to ask these doctors to explain how laundry soap ingredients are
related to bacteria! Unless your ingredients are somehow contaminated
(I would think highly unlikely), I just don't see the correlation. And
then why don't ALL the family members have it? And too, borax and
vinegar both are to some extent ANTI-bacterial--at least from what I
have read. Sorry, guys, I'm just suspicious of this "explanation".

Please print the exact receipe for Laundry Soap including how much water to add, and same with softner.. this sounds strange to me too...I know little girls get infections using too much bubble bath,but this is a new one.....dottieanne212@yahoo.com
