      Default Beef cheek meat recipe?

I'm not sure what to expect from this piece of meat. Is it anything like a beef roast? I bought some because I liked the price and I like trying new things. I thought about browning it then simmering in gravy till tender and adding dumplings. Maybe a little liquid smoke, tin foil and the oven? I sure would appreciate any suggestions.

Beef cheek is a tough cut of meat that comes from the cheek of the cow. Most people braise beef cheek so it can absorb flavor and juices- but we just dump it in the crockpot

The ingredients are beef cheek, beef bones, 2 cloves of garlic, 4 celery stalks, 4 medium to large carrots, 1 small onion, olive oil, salt, coarsely ground black pepper, thyme, rosemary, and 1 bay leaf and a bit of beefstock

Dump everything in the crockpot, add a little water/beefstock, cook on medium for the day.

      O.K Candace,
This sounds do-able enough. I don't have beef bones but I do have beef stock. Good strong beef stock. Are the bones something I could skip here or should I wait till I have some? Do you think cream of celery soup would be alright in it? I'm out of celery.

You could pretty much use anything, beef stock will work, cream of celery will work. You don't have to have specific ingredients I don't think
