      Default Shortcut White Bread

This recipe makes one loaf. Perfect for a small family.

      1 pkg active dry yeast
      1 tbsp of sugar
      1 cup warm water
      1/3 cup nonfat dry milk
1 tbsp melted butter or margarine
      1/2 tsp of salt
      2 1/2- 3 cups sifted flour

In a large bowl sprinkle yeast and sugar over warm water stir until dissolved. Add dry milk, melted butter, salt and 1 1/4 cup of flour. Using mixer at low speed beat until blended. Increase speed to medium and beat for 3 minutes.
Stir in enough additional flour to make a soft dough. Turn out dough on a lightly floured surface. Knead until smooth and elastic about 5-8 minutes. Cover with a towel and let rest for 20 minutes.
Shape dough into a loaf and place in a greased loaf pan. Cover and let rise until doubled about an hour. Bake at 375 degrees for 35 minutes.

I made my dough in my food processor and it really cut down on the kneading time. I hope you all enjoy this recipe.

I tried this using milk instead of water, it is very moist and delicious. A very yummy, simple bread. I did this in my bread machine and it turned out great!
