The life and mind of Tarrien

It's going to sound like blasphemy to a majority of users on this site, but I just don't shop there.

1. My room mate DESPISES Wal-Mart with a burning passion and she'd be the only one to take me since I don't drive
2. Our ex-room mate made it pretty clear that Wal-Mart is probably the last place anyone should work.
3. It'd be weird trying to go to Wal-Mart with a Target and pretty awesome grocery store and a dollar general within two miles of my house.

But I do have to admit, I feel sorta odd reading about how everyone on here adores Wal-Mart but I'm just not really able to shop there. Quite honestly though, I don't really miss it. Mainly since the eating situation here is more independent than cooking for everyone. I mean yeah, here and there we'll cook for each other, but usually- no.

The only thing that bugs at me though is if I could just get my anti-depressants there I could save a dollar but my room mate forbids it, mainly since the cost of gas would outweigh the dollar I'd save.

I know when I used to live with my mom we used to go there occasionally. They were great for finding cheap bras and T-Shirts. I think one of my favorite shirts I have was only $3.00...

But yeah, that's why I haven't really been saying much about Wal-Mart.

I am not a fan of going to Wal Mart myself. But I do have to admit, that sometimes it easier to go there. If I can't find something at another store, I know that Wal Mart has it. I go about once a month. It would be really hard to say that Wal Mart doesn't have anything that you wouldn't want or need. And it is true, somethings are cheaper than the other stores. So to say that go to Wal Mart is a bad thing is silly. It's a store for shopping. I know that they have had a lot of problems in the past and the present, and it seems like they are trying to take over everything. But we all know the truth, there are times when going there is easier than running all over town trying to find that one thing. So you burn more gas doing that than if you were to just drop by Wal Mart.

I just have to chime in as a 14 year employee of Walmart. They strive everyday to make working there and shopping there a great experience. There is also a 800 number that is easy to use to make comments and suggestions to improve your Walmart. I would suggest if it is a bad store to call on them.

I love wal -mart -you can not beat their prices on well anything. It saves me a lot of money and time -I buy a major amount of foods and other stuff -some I do not usually buy (toys or formula )- running a daycare I feed 10 children daily and if there is no school I have to add 3 of my own - all eaters+ I need t0 feed my family of 5 -so between 200.00 and 250.00 each week. I cook only healthy -non processed things - so even if I only save a .10 on each item I save a lot -I will agree its hard not to go crazy there - between the people and not over spending.

I have found that my Publix is cheaper than Wal-Mart for most of the groceries I buy. The only exception is cereal. People don't believe it when I tell them, they are sucked into the Wal-Mart way of thinking, lol! I do like to go there for things other than groceries though.

we do not have Publix in our area - I do not even know if in nebaska. I have wal-mart and Super Target and hy-vee - which I think are very high -sometimes they have awsome sales ,but wal-mart will match their prices -sometimes wal-mart's prices are still cheaper ( I've done a lot of compasion shopping and kept track in a book ) and overall wal-mart still wins Bobbi -ne
