Total Room By Room Declutter Project

Rating: 1 votes, 5.00 average.
I am going to do one room per week, and completely declutter and deep clean each one. My husband's got orders taking us to Georgia in July, so now's a good time to start decluttering and getting ready to move. It may sound like a long time, but it's really not when you think about how much work it is to move. I am going to follow the cycle that FlyLady follows (she tackles a different zone in the house each week) and just stick to one room per week. It will take me more than one week to do some rooms, like my husband's office, which has become a catchall for our junk.

Decluttering is a pain in the behind. However, sometimes I find really great stuff, like long-lost belongings, or MONEY! I once found a $20 bill while decluttering. Now, I don't expect to find any denomination above a quarter this time, because I am very careful with all of my money nowadays, but a quarter will still elicit a smile and make me glad!

Also, beginning now ensures I have a pretty house for Christmas. That's always nice, too!

Decluttering is such a pain, but so wonderful when it is finished-if only it would last. Money is always a good thing to find. Moving can be rough but sounds like it will go smoothly if you start so early. Wish you the best with getting rid of the clutters.

I worked for 90 minutes in the kitchen today. I could see the fruits of my labors right away, and that is always nice.
