The life and mind of Tarrien

A month away

So recently (About in the last year or so) my workplace has become extremely distasteful to work. Due to a lot of safety concerns, as well as horrible attitudes from our customer base, my husband and I had decided to take a month off. There were other reasons as well, such as wanting a few weekends to ourselves instead of being too tired to catch summer weekend fun. Safety and stress were our main concerns when we left.

Its not been a bad move, expensive, yet morale boosting enough that I no longer want to quit. We were able to do quite a few things we've put off for YEARS due to our lack of energy and time. We visited their Mom in a state over for about a week and after that it was nothing but smooth sailing and "what do you feel like doing today." A lot of time was spent flipping to a day schedule and getting some sun. Which I don't think I've been in since 2014.

News about the garden, the styrofoam containers we had from our wedding are STILL going strong. They've been housing lettuces, spinach, radish, carrot, and other vegetables. My small porch is quite a spectacle for plant life, and it seems like after I started gardening on my porch, my neighbors followed suit. The only thing I'm worried about is there is a threat of wasps from what I can see from my slider. Like this year has been terrible for the little buggers and I only water at night since they scare me badly. I think the nest is on the side of the building under the roof so there's not much I can do.
