Something I forgot...and how???

Rating: 1 votes, 5.00 average.
OK....this was a FUN morning..mind you in my last blog I mentioned that this is the first year my daughter is voting.....well of course I had to embarrass her.....lol......

We proceeded to tell each and everyone of those "panhandlers" NO to any literature!!

Erica (my DD) and I talked throughout the ordeal this morning of waiting....lol...I guess it was quality time huh? lol.... we joked about "writing in" her dads name for president...too funny!! There were quite a few people who laughed. We had to make lite of this frustrating time.

Well we finished voting and were walking out. I came across two men standing beside each other. One McCain and one Obama supporter who were handing out flyers and stickers. I asked the first if I could have one of the McCain stickers, he gave it to me and thanked me for my vote - OK - then I looked at the next gut and asked him if I could have his Obama button on his shirt. He looked at me a little funny and then asked "your not going to set it on fire are you?" I chucked and said "Oh no, I am going to save this button....in about 20 years I will hand it down to my kids and they are going to be able to make a bundle on this, have you not seen what those campaign buttons sell for after 20 or so years??" He laughed and gave me the button. I guess I emgarrassed my daughter, she had quietly went to the car. LOL

I now will put that with all the other campaign buttons that have been passed down to me for two generations.

Just wanted to ramble on .... anyone else collect buttons too??

Found out that here in South Carolina, a person can be arrested for wearing stickers/buttons near the polls! No Kidding! It's all over the news reminding people to have them covered up, t-shirts/etc.

There are several states that have that same law. Some also that you can not hand out literature within so many feet.

I amnot one to collect the buttons, hubby does for local races.
