My big project is almost done

I think no one seems to be posting here on the blog site any more. Sure am missing my old friends who used to post here! My daughter is getting married next month and only had 2 month's notice. I usually am always working on a quilt but this year I haven't. Taking care of my husband while he was going through cancer treatments and away from home most of the time for several months. my daughter was crying the blues because I've always given family members hand quilted quilts but I simply don't have one ready to give this time. So I decided to work up a fast machine quilted one that I quilt as I go in her wedding colors. A king sized one required 72 blocks and 60 are done so far that I started last week. After they are done I will machine piece the front part then lay it out and trim the batting and hand sew the back together. I am hoping to be done with it next week so it can be wrapped and tucked away before Christmas gets to crazy here. I usually make all our Christmas gifts but this year I only made two of them. I jump suit for my pregnant daughter in law and PJ's for my son. I bought books for another son and pillows for another son. Got to get gifts for 3 daughters and my husband and my future son in law. I'm grateful with all the wedding stuff tossed in to the mix that I had already decided not to make Christmas gifts this year. I'll try to post a picture of my quilt when I get it done if I can figure out how to do so!
