My husband starts his cancer treatments this Wednesday. It'll be every week day for 7 weeks. It's 94 miles away so it'll be a big drain on our finances. Wednesday after going up to St Joseph, MO and returning home I will need to pack up and go pick up my DIL at school in Warrensburg, MO and make the drive down to Branson, MO to spend 5 days with her grandpa and some other family members. I spend every day at home canning more and more stuff from the garden. I need to pick several beds of dry beans and get them stored away also. I also go one full bed of garlic I need to get dug up and when very dry rub between my hands to remove the paper skins and then freeze them and then bag up to keep in the freezer for use this winter. Then I have 3 beds of onions to deal with. Our heat wave is suppose to finally break on Wednesday. I'm looking forward to the 70's instead of our high 90's. It will make working outside much nicer. We will be staying in St Joseph on September 26 for a week or so to help my son get his roof replaced. It was a new roof when he bought it 10 years ago and it is all turned up and has to be replaced. I'll make sure he saves the receipts because they should have at least a twenty year warranty in case they go bad again. They moved to Topeka, KS after he lost his job to take a new job so he needs to gt the house sold but has to replace the roof before he can do so. Going to be a long month for me dealing with everything.
