Grrrrrr Prices of Groceries going up again!!!!

Rating: 1 votes, 5.00 average.
Just when I thought "Oh good, gas prices are going down, and so are groceries" Think again! LOL So I went grocery shopping this morning. I always buy 5 dozen eggs at a time, yes I cook allllllll the time, and 5 dozen lasts me about 3 weeks. 3 weeks ago the 5 dozen eggs were $4.00 this morning they are at $7.89! It isn't just the eggs, it is everything going up, up, and up. It is soooo frustrating because I recently became a stay at home mom, and we are a one income family. I dont understand how prices are doubling, some even trippling! I am doing what "I" can to save my family money but sometimes that doesnt seem too be enough.

Ok I feel better Thanks for listening to me go off, I feel sooooo much better now!

Milk here is $3.89 per gal, no deal for buying 2 thats for sure. I think with the eggs, you'll notice a drop again about a week after thanksgiving. I was looking over some notes in my journal and it's a trend for that to go up right now. If you find yourself getting frustrated, focus on the items that tend to go Down right now, like in 3 days when you can get fresh pumpkin dirt cheap and can make pumpkin muffins, cakes, etc and freeze them for when you need a fast breakfast or dessert.
Staying cheerful in this economy is a feat in itself I think.

I really feel where everyone is coming from. The other day I was thinking the same thing about food prices (Caught between a rock and a hard spot). What are we to do We have to eat. I can't seem to understand the whole proccess. Do I have to raise chickens---I Don't think so. Get a cow ---Not. I only live on almost a acre of land and work full time. And live in a small country village, the neigbors would have a (cow) then I might get milk...Lollll.

    My garden is a blessing.

Always looking for more ways to save ---thats why I'm here..

    I count my Blessing Everyday.

I feeling better airing this one too --Thanks beansthemama

Well, Milk around here at best is 2 gallons for $7.00, and I go through about 4-5 a week with just my kids drinking it. Also, I bake alot of their lunch stuff and dinner things, so I sympathize with the groceries.

No kidding - I have a 1 bedroom apartment - so chickens, cows, etc are out of the question. I can't even have a garden (with my brown thumb it's just as well anyways. I couldn't keep a dandelion alive I don't think and those are supposed to be impossible to kill)
