Christmas already?

Christmas to me is all about the birth of Jesus! It will completly stop me when I think of what a mircale and gift God has given all of us.
Normally I am ready in July but this year it has totally snuck up on me. I have had a ruff year, with the DH and with surgery in October. Maybe that is why? Not sure, but what I know is that I am going to celebrate the birth of our Savior with a smile and happy heart.
Forget the malls, grocery stores, and crazy family members who come to visit..........think about what Christmas really is all about. Think about the beatiful gift we all recieved! Many blessings to you and your families this Christmas and the many more to come!

We started a few years ago having home made Christmas gifts and it's been so wonderful! This year we made gift baskets up with fruit, a few candies and a small gingerbread house with the Christmas Story added to them to give to our neighbors within a 2 mile area (6 baskets) and Christmas Day we are going the 90 miles south to Kansas City to work all day until 7PM at a Homeless Shelter so most of the staff can have off to be with their families. We will wait until New years Day to open our presents when my husband returns from his current deployment. Our hearts have been so touched by our month of service we've given. It sure helps bring the true Spirit of Christmas round where we and those around us can feel it. It has felt so wonderful, I think it might become an annual event in our home!
