This simple lemon glaze adds a touch of zest to sugar cookies or cake.
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon water
Mix sugar, lemon juice and water together. Stir until smooth.
Add water to thin if required. Add more powdered sugar to thicken if necessary.
Makes frosting for 1 to 2 single layer cakes.
