    • Apple Cookie Easy bake Oven Recipe

Make your own Easy Bake Oven Apple Cookies! This delicious recipe is for the intermediate chef.

      1/4 cup unsalted butter; softened
      1/2 cup granulated sugar
      1/2 tablespoon grated apples
      1 cup all purpose flour
      1/8 teaspoon Salt
      1/8 teaspoon baking soda
      3 tablespoons granulated sugar
      red food coloring

In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add apples; mix well.

Sift together flour, salt and baking soda; add to sugar/butter mix. Turn dough onto a floured cutting board, and knead until smooth.

Divide in half. Wrap separately and chill until firm, about 1 hour.

Shape each half into an 8" long log. Roll logs in colored sugar to coat. Wrap and chill until hard, about 3 hours or overnight.

Butter and flour the baking pans.

Unwrap and slice the dough into 1/4" thick rounds. Place two rounds in each prepared pan, slide into the oven, bake in Easy-Bake Oven until beginning to brown around edges, about 20 minutes.

Cool the pans on a wire rack.

      Icing:

      1/2 cup confectioner's sugar
      2 tablespoons apple juice

Mix confectioner's sugar and apple juice. When cookies are done, transfer to wire racks. Brush cookies with icing and let cool.
