Caribbean Pork with Sweet Potatoes-apple-slices-red1.jpg Making an apple pie out of dehydrated apple slices is cinch with this tried and true recipe with cinnamon, nutmeg and a touch of lemon juice.

      You'll Need:

      • 3 1/2 C. dried apples
      • 2 C. water
      • 3/4 C. sugar
      • 1 t. cinnamon
      • 1/4 tsp Nutmeg
      • spritz of lemon juice

Combine apples & water in a saucepan over medium heat until tender. The apples will rehydrate during the cooking and baking process. Add sugar and cinnamon. Fill and top with pie crust and bake 40-45 minutes at 350 degrees.

If the apples are a bit too sweet, add a spritz of fresh lemon juice.

Wonderful idea, another way to use all my apples.
