Peach Tea mix

Peach tea mix is very simple to prepare ahead of time. It’s quite sweet, which is how most of us southerner’s prefer it!

You’ll Need:
1 c. instant ice tea mix (unsweetened or sweetened)
1 sm box peach-flavored gelatin (3 ounce size)
2 c. sugar

Measure into ziploc bag and shake well to blend. To use add 1 Tablespoon per Cup of Ice water. You’ll need to dissolve the mix in about 1/4 cup of hot water, stirring until dissolved, then add ice to glass and fill with cold water. Stirring well.

To enjoy a cup of hot peach tea, add 1 tablespoon of mix to a mug of hot water.

Recipe yields 3 1/2 cups of tea mix and costs approximately 28 cents per serving.

You’ll Need:
12 plain tea bags (regular size)
1 c. sugar
1/4 tsp baking soda
1 Can of Peach Nectar (11.5 oz size)
1 Fresh Lemon
4 Fresh Peaches

Place the teabags in the coffeepot filter holder and run a pot of water (about 6 cups) through the coffeepot over the teabags. Add the sugar, stirring until dissolved. Add the baking soda and nectar, stirring to mix well. Transfer the tea to a pitcher, add ice cubes and top with Ice cold water. Squeeze the juice of 1 fresh lemon over the top, stir gently. Just prior to serving add slices of fresh peaches to each glass.

This makes 1 gallon

    • How much mix per 2 qt pitcher?

      There are 8 cups in 2 quarts. The recipe states 1 tbs per cup, so that would be 1/2 cup of mix, give or take a tablespoon or two for your taste preferences.
