    • Instant Chai Tea

Creating your own chai tea from scratch is very easy. Simply steep a mug of your favorite black tea and add 1-2 T of this delicious, fragrant make ahead spice blend.

      You'll Need:

      • 1 14-ounce can unsweetened condensed milk (low-fat or nonfat, if desired)
      • 1/2 teaspoon ground cardamon
      • 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
      • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
      • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
      • 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper

Pour the entire can of milk into a clean, dry jar. Add all the spices and cover tightly with a lid. Place in the refrigerator. The longer it stays refrigerated, the tastier it becomes.

To use, stir the mixture, and scoop out 2 to 3 tablespoons directly into a cup of very strong, very hot black tea.

Alternatively, to Make Creamy Iced Thai Chai

Brew a Pot of Hot black tea or Thai Tea such as Pantai and let it cool completely. (Store this in the fridge until needed). Fill a glass with Ice, add tea to the middle of the glass, If using regular black tea Mix 2-3 Tbs of the Thai Chai Mix into the tea and fill the remainder of the glass with milk or half and half. If using Thai Tea, add 1 Tbs of mix, then fill with milk or half and half.

Swirl once with a spoon and enjoy your delicious Creamy Iced Thai Chai!

How long does this last in the fridge, before a new batch would need to be made ?

Our experience has been 10-14 days, but it really tastes best after the first 24 hours so the flavors have time to unite.

Great idea! I would have to use this fast because I lack refrigeration but I can imagine doing this when "the girls" come over for a visit.

      Re: Another cute date idea

I came across this idea and I find it fun and cute! The idea is to have a home-dinning experience with one of the local hosts on BonAppetour, and you will be treated to a fancy meal at their homes.
