1. Adjust your thermostat

2. Check your air filter
Air filters are easily neglected, but they're one of the most important pieces of your air conditioning system. In order to provide cool air, your AC needs to pull the warm air out of your home. The warm air goes in through the air filter, and if your air filter is dirty and clogged, less warm air is pulled out of your home and less cool air goes out through your vents. This makes your AC run longer and adds to your electric bill.
