If your yard is loaded with pesky biting mosquitoes - here's how to treat it and get rid of them for about 2 months!
Mosquitoes really suck (pun intended) but over the last couple of years the number of diseases that they can spread have really become rather scary, like Zika, which can cause encephalitis in babies, as well as fever, rash, conjunctivitis and joint pain that lasts literally for months.
In addition to zika, mosquitoes spread malaria, chikungunya, heartworm in dogs, dengue, yellow fever, Equine Encephalitis, St Lois Encephalitis, Lacrosse Encephalitis, and West Nile virus.
There are 176 recognized species of mosquito in the United States alone and over 3,000 different
species worldwide. If you've ever been bitten by a mosquito, it was a female- they're the only one with a piercing proboscis. The males actually eat nectar or other sugars and cannot bite people or pets.
Unfortunately, mosquitoes can reproduce rapidly in the tiniest amounts of standing water and most eggs hatch within just 48 hours. So to help prevent mosquitoes on your property ensure that you do not have buckets of stagnant or standing water such as patio containers, tire swings, etc.
We've used this mixture for the last 3 years and it actually works. Feel free to spray it liberally as it's safe for wildlife and plants.

You'll Need :
1 Big Bottle of Cheap (blue) Mouthwash, store brand is fine
3 cups of Epsom Salts
3 Stale 12 oz beers (any kind)
Combine the 3 ingredients in a spray bottle, stirring until the salts are dissolved,
stirring frequently and spray liberally around the patio, deck, swimming pool or any other areas you sit outside.
Don't be concerned about the mixture getting on you, it's natural and safe. This works like a charm and lasts about 2 months before needing to be re-treated.
