  • No More Mosquitoes - Complete Pet Safe Yard Treatment

If your yard is loaded with pesky biting mosquitoes - here's how to treat it and get rid of them for about 2 months!
Mosquitoes really suck (pun intended) but over the last couple of years the number of diseases that they can spread have really become rather scary, like Zika, which can cause encephalitis in babies, as well as fever, rash, conjunctivitis and joint pain that lasts literally for months.
In addition to zika, mosquitoes spread malaria, chikungunya, heartworm in dogs, dengue, yellow fever, Equine Encephalitis, St Lois Encephalitis, Lacrosse Encephalitis, and West Nile virus.

There are 176 recognized species of mosquito in the United States alone and over 3,000 different species worldwide. If you've ever been bitten by a mosquito, it was a female- they're the only one with a piercing proboscis. The males actually eat nectar or other sugars and cannot bite people or pets.

Unfortunately, mosquitoes can reproduce rapidly in the tiniest amounts of standing water and most eggs hatch within just 48 hours. So to help prevent mosquitoes on your property ensure that you do not have buckets of stagnant or standing water such as patio containers, tire swings, etc.

We've used this mixture for the last 3 years and it actually works. Feel free to spray it liberally as it's safe for wildlife and plants.

Vanquish Mosquitoes from your Yard for 2 Months with this simple DIY Recipe from Paul Harvey

    You'll Need :

1 Big Bottle of Cheap (blue) Mouthwash, store brand is fine
    3 cups of Epsom Salts
3 Stale 12 oz beers (any kind)

Combine the 3 ingredients in a spray bottle, stirring until the salts are dissolved, stirring frequently and spray liberally around the patio, deck, swimming pool or any other areas you sit outside.

Don't be concerned about the mixture getting on you, it's natural and safe. This works like a charm and lasts about 2 months before needing to be re-treated.

List of ingredients is too vague. There are lots of brands of blue mouthwash, all with different chemicals in them. Which one?

Big bottle isn't specific enough. How many ounces?

Where does a non-drinker get stale beer? I didn't even know beer could become stale!!

LOL, you're really Overthinking the whole thing. 1.5L bottle of cheap blue minty mouthwash, like a bottle of equate brand (walmart brand). Open any cheap beer, like budweiser or natural lite and let them set half an hour= instant stale beer.

The point of stale beer is so that they don't foam when you're mixing them up.

This works a treat, I've used it for years. Use what you have & mix that shit up.

Sounds great. Will this work for flies too at a horse stable?

Okay so it seems that it wouldn't matter if you cut the grass, as most people probably do that more than every 2 months, but what about if it rains? Is there anything like those that will waste it or cause it to not work?

If you have a garden, you would not want to use this solution. Anything that deters or kills mosquitoes also deters or kills bees. Just something to consider...

This post says the stronger you make it the longer it lasts. Please tell me how to make this mixture stronger? Which of the ingredients will do that?

Gonna try this as soon as I get mouthwash. I can't wait to see if it really works. Right now, after a warm winter, I can't sit outside. Can the solution be this simple? We'll see. I have no complaints about this post because....I'm not looking for something to complain about.
