Create your own homemade copycat hamburger helper cheesy italian shells - an all in one dish skillet meal of herbs, pasta, cheese and burger for a hearty, easy to prepare meal.

      Cheesy Italian Shells Seasoning Mix
      1 tablespoon corn starch
      1 tablespoon mixed Italian herbs
      1 teaspoon onion powder
      1 teaspoon garlic
      1 teaspoon salt
      1 teaspoon sugar

      Cheesy Italian Shells Dinner:

1 pound ground beef or turkey
      3/4 cup hot water
      2 cups milk
1 1/2 cups small pasta shells
1 cup stewed or diced canned tomatoes, undrained
      1 seasoning mix (see above)
1 cup cheddar, shredded, near the end

Brown and drain one pound of ground meat (beef or turkey). Add seasoning mix to cold milk, stirring well, pour over cooked meat, add hot water, pasta shells and tomatoes. Cover and simmer 12-18 minutes, or until pasta is done to your preference.

Remove from heat, top with shredded cheddar cheese, uncover, let set 5 minutes to thicken. Stir before serving.
