    • Make your Own Glue

Making glue is as simple as boiling water. Mix this recipe up ahead of time to have a strong glue on hand that works wonderfully in any arts and crafts project.
Glue is relatively simple to make at home and stores well in any tightly covered container, such as a mason jar.

Combine the following in a small saucepan & bring to a rolling boil:

      3/4 cup water
      2 tablespoons corn syrup
      1 teaspoons white vinegar

Blend the following in a small bowl:

      1/2 cup cornstarch
      3/4 cup cold water

Add the cornstarch mix slowly to first mix. Stir constantly. Remove from heat, Cool, transfer to Covered Container and it Let stand overnight before using to cure.

So wondering if the mixture would be put into a covered container when cooled or just cover it lightly to "cure and set" overnight. Please let me know because I want to make soon please. Thank you!!!!
Love your website it is awesome!!

I think my nieces and nephews will like this idea -- they go thru a lot of glue with all their crafts. I posted this to Facebook for them. Thanks for this inexpensive idea!

Now I do not have to use my son's glue supply for my "seedling pots" that I learn on here to make.

Re: Make your own Winter Frosting Snowflakes

Yes, you just want the snowflake to stick the window so you can blot all around it.

Re: Make your own Winter Frosting Snowflakes

Very neat idea, but I am a little confused. Are we dipping our snowflakes in plain water? Once they are on the window is it plain water we spray on it?
