1 1/2 cups sugar
3 cups cake flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 cup poppy seeds
Measure all ingredients into a large ziploc (or vacuum seal) bag or qt size jar.
3/4 cup butter
1/3 cup milk
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 tsp. lemon extract (not lemon juice)
Zest of 1 lemon
1 pkg. Lemon Poppy-Seed Cake Mix
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup lemon juice
Preheat oven to 350 F . Blend all ingredients together, Pour into greased 13x9 inch pan Bake 40 -50 minutes depending on your oven Cool
Glaze: Simmer sugar & lemon juice until thickened. Pour Glaze over warm cake.
