      The way this food item is prepared was invented by McDonald's®. The

      > You can also use your blender.

      > *Note---Before the introduction of the "direct-draw" milkshake

      > machines McDonald's uses now, (since 1981) we used the multi-mixers

      > and made the shakes one at a time. No powder mixes were used...just

      > 1 cup vanilla ice cream, slightly thawed

      > 1/3 cup whole milk

      > 2 Tablespoons pre-sweetened orange flavored Kool-Aid®

      > Measure the ice cream into the silver cup that comes with the

      > DrinkMasterT (or the blender pitcher) and allow to thaw about 6-8

      > minutes. Add the other ingredients for the milkshake of your choice,

      it's cream, like for your coffee. I think it's actually half milk and half cream, hence the half and half name.

      Its half cream and half milk I think. DO you have

      creamer for coffee... just mix that with some milk or

      just use all creamer for a richer shake

      Half and Half is in the milk section. and is a milk product. kind of

      like whipping cream, but not as heavy. hope that helps.
