Hairspray helps remove ink. Wash in gentle cycle and hang/lay flat to dry. Try again if it does not come out the first time. Baby shampoo works well too. Herlean

I don't know about the chalk, but I have had good luck with aeresol hairspray getting out ink. The fresher the stain the easier it is to get out. If it has set in a while it might take a few tries. Just saturate the stain with hairspray, as if it were your regular stain remover spray and wash. Ink on carpet & upholstery can come out by saturating with hairspray & blotting...repeat till stain is gone then wipe over area with warm water washcloth to remove hairspray residue. Aeresol works better than pump hairspray....no clue why LOL. Hanna

Sidewalk chalk should just wash out. I've never had stains from it.

For the ink... well, soak the shirt first, to try and get as much of

it out as possible. I usually take the shirt and leave running water

to run directly on whatever stain I want out, and to keep it from

    running onto other clothing.

Then, maybe put oxyclean directly onto the stain, and use a small

stiff brush of some sort to scrub it into the stain. If there's any

stain left, apply Zout (not Shout) directly onto the stain, and let

it sit over night, then wash it in the machine.

If it's just like a streak from an ink pen, it'll come out without a

lot of the hassle listed above. If it's an ink spill, that's going

to be harder to get out.

Hairspray works great on ink stains

For a small line of ink (like you had a pen in your hand and made a

line accidently) pour alcohol on the ink and right away take liquid

detergent (I've used both Wisk and Dawn) scrub with a toothbrush or

other small brush. Do not scrub too big an area as the ink will smear

a little to start with. I have not tried this with a large ink stain.
