    Holiday Scone Mix

    1-3/4 cups all-purpose flour
    1 tablespoon baking powder
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    cup Quaker oats (quick or old fashioned)
    1/2 cup chopped pecans
    1/3 cup mini chocolate chips

    Measure all ingredients into a jar or ziploc bag. (in layers if giving it for a gift).

    To Use:

    Add :

    1 stick cold Margarine
    1/3 cup honey
    1/4 cup milk
    1 large egg
    1 pkg. scone mix

    Preheat oven to 375°.
    Dump scone mix and margarine into a bowl, mixing well. In a separate bowl beat the remaining ingredients until well combined and then pour into the scone/butter mixture. Stir with a fork until mix forms a ball then knead the dough. On a floured surface roll the dough into an 8" circle. Cut dough into wedges (8) & place on grease cookie sheet 1 1/2"
    apart. Bake 9-11 minutes, (should be light golden brown).
