Amazing what a little time can accomplish. Mom get's to finally go home today. The shoulder and wrist are healing nicely and only a couple more weeks and they should be compeletly healed. Staples on the neck and back have been removed and the risk for infection is all gone just the muscle and skin need to finish healing but that also should only be a couple more weeks.

She is able to walk short distances and the blood pressure seems to be under control. She is still off and on like a little kid, whiny and wantsz what she wants. Heck maybe she has always been that way but we just didn't pay attention before

She has also changed things that she likes and doesn't like. She use to be a heavy coffee and tea drinker, but now says they taste funny. She likes the black twizzlers, never could stand them before. She use to refuse to ever light a candle for anything but now she likes them they are pretty and smell so nice :: so I really have no idea what to do for Mother's Day for her.

Some of the stress is going away, I am starting to get back to my old self. Will stress for a little while longer though until I know she has been home for awhile and is able to function safely there-don't need anymore spills down steps but they have several for her to have to deal with, plus with the kid-like attitude she will do what she wants even if she knows it isn't safe.

That's awesome, glad to hear it. Isn't it weird how tastes can change like that... a really good friend of ours had a bad head injury a year ago and had some damage to his spinal cord as well... after his surgery he went from Hating coffee to Loving it, hating hot dogs to loving them, and hating garlic to eating it in chunks- Fresh! oy.

It's nice to hear that things are finally starting to calm down and you're able to take a breather. Taking care of family (& dealing with other family) can be so overwhelming at times.
