The life and mind of Tarrien

I've noticed that if you want a pet, but don't have a lot of money or time, Hermit Crabs are pretty easy pets to take care. I bought my hermit crabs back in July. And I haven't really needed to get them anything outstandingly expensive other than a heater since my house doesn't have heating.

I bought two crabs for $20 and that included their habitat, some treats and a sponge for their water supply. I did have to go buy them food but it was relatively cheap ($4) and since they eat so little I have over 3/4 container left. All I have to do now is buy them new sand every month which is only $3 and shells whenever they outgrow their current ones.

Other than that, they're really easy to take care of and I really enjoy having them.
