Broke Again . . .

Well, our youngest had a rough day in wrestling this week and managed to break both bones in his right arm, his ulna & his radius. If you've been a longtime member, you might recall the last time this happened he had to have surgery and pins put into his (left) arm. We're still waiting to find out the extent of the damage and whether or not surgery will be required, but we're hopeful that the breaks are much cleaner this time.

It's been a very long week, we also got news over the weekend that an old friend from Highschool died unexpectedly of an aneurysm at just 36 years old.

So, if I'm a little behind on menu plans, sharing freebies, or posting holiday ideas- you'll know why.

I hope your son is not in too much pain. It is a little scarey how these accidents happen in the wink of an eye. One of my sons (Jerry Wayne) broke his finger when he was still in high school. It required surgery because the tendon came loose and had to be reattached. Everyone wants to know how these things happen and I was really embarrassed when I had to keep telling them that he had kicked himself in the finger and broke it. Someone mistakenly decided that it was from a car door and I just let them all think that was what happened. It really was for the best, because no one really wants the details anyway. They just want to give the very appreciated sympathy and ask if I needed any help. I was working two jobs at the time. I am proud to say that out of 3 children his was the only broken bone while they were at home.
