I've noticed when I try to be polite with a certain person they get really mad and say its uncomfortable for me to wait for them to eat with me or give them the bigger portion.

I've noticed that people are always like "You're way too nice" to me though like if a place doesn't have a soda I wanted or if I get the wrong order... it gets sort of embarrassing sometimes.

Along with respect for one another and our elders. I wonder alot as I grow older each day -- where in the world these values are going ? It seems that they are slipping away slowly to some point.

I think so many are caught up in there own lives that they seem to forget that there are other people out there also. These are things I am trying to teach my boys, take a minute and think about other people and do one random act of kindness in some way each and every day. Even if it is just to say hello or smile to someone that they walk past. A smile sure can go a long way to make the day better.

If you have nothing else to give you can always give a smile. You never know, it might be the ONE bright spot in someone elses day.

I do understand what you are saying JoAnn. I feel the same way. What is going on with the world, to many don't even think about the people around them. This is something that I have been working on with my boys as well. It's really not that hard to say hi, or just to take a minute out of your day to help with a little something. I believe the problem is that to many people are selfish about everything. It sure is nice that to see post like this, thanks.

JoAnn it is no surprise to me that you were raised in this way. You always have a kind word, a listen ear, and a shoulder if someone needs it to lean on !!!! It's my prayer that you are blessed indeed because just knowing you has certainly blessed me !!!
