Every year I make the hubby and kids a huge homemade meal. Last year I made chicken saltimboca and lots of other yummy things. I have been doing this for 5 years and the kids and hubby love it.

Where do I put the pain of the husbands drinking? The lies, the mean things that are spoken, not sure where to put it. It is so hard. When they apologize, you want to forgive and move on and then with a blink of an eye they do it again. What are you supposed to make of that as a spouse. It is so disappointing.

With another year coming to the end, it is easy to always hope for new things with the new coming year. 2008 has been good to us and I can only hope that 2009 will be just a gracious.

My hopes for 2009 are peace for our old battered earth. I hope for the wars and hatered to end. I hope for a better economy and for people to worry about ...
